Notice

Welcome to our beautiful and beloved club. Please help us keep it that way by picking up after yourself and taking your trash home with you.

You carried it in, so you carry it out.

The good folks who volunteer their time to mow should not have to stop and pick up debris that could damage the mower or otherwise be thrown by the mower.

Facebook, when used properly, can be a useful tool for communicating club events and notices to supplement this web site. It is open for use by club members, as well as those that are not club members, to post comments and share information. Please keep your comments and pictures professional and “family friendly”.  We encourage productive, friendly and positive interactions that advance the positive image of gun ownership, shooting sports, hunting and fishing.

There are several facebook pages with our club name. I do not know who created most of the pages . I did not create the confusion, I’m just trying to explain and fix what I can. (Jeff C.)

HERE IS THE CORRECT AND PROPER FACEBOOK PAGE

Greene Rod and Gun Club, Hunting and Fishing:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Greene-Rod-And-Gun-Club/232402846853095?fref=ts

Please “Like” this page. Select this page as a location when posting to your own timeline and it will show up on the club timeline. It is properly set up like a business to accept “Likes” rather than friend requests. It appears that any and all posts are able to be seen by all others. Update 7-12-2015, today I noticed the small print under the name Greene Rod and Gun Club FB page now says Hunting and Fishing. It no longer shows Local Business, I assume someone at FB has done this. Update 10-26-2016. Last Thursday, while I was at the club killing time and with a smart phone in my hand I decided to click the “Is this your business” button on this facebook page. One confirmation call and one secret code entered, I am now the “Owner” of this FB page. Little did I know all the posts would go away. Sorry about that. I am working to restore at least most of the recent posts.

ALL OF THE BELOW ARE NOT THE CORRECT FACEBOOK PAGE. DO NOT USE.

Greene RodGun:

https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100007336034880&fref=hovercard This page was created by Dave DeSantis. It is set up like a person to accept “Friend” requests. We lost Dave to heaven Jan 5th, 2015. If you had not already established a mutual Friend link with Dave, then I don’t think you can see any of the posts. Update 10-25-2016, this FB page is still active, but with latest post of Dec 21, 2014. Still active as of 11-30-2020. I have saved the fall pics and christmas party pics to my hard drive.

Greene Rod and Gun Club, Gun Range:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Greene-Rod-and-Gun-Club/154029368105354?fref=ts This page incorrectly lists our location as Endicott. I don’t see any posts to this page, so I recommend this page not be used. Update 7-12-2015, there is a button to click for “Suggest Edits”. For the name, I added “DUPLICATE, DELETE THIS FB PAGE”  in the name field and at the bottom of the suggest edits window, there is a place to enter the URL of the duplicate page, so In entered the URL for the “Hunting and Fishing” page mentioned above. As of 1-9-2016, I have posted a review to not use this as a location, but instead use location = Greene Rod and Gun Club 350 Foster Hill Rd Greene NY when posting to your own timeline or a friends timeline. A duplicate of your post will show up on the club facebook page. Update 10-25-2016: This FB page is still alive, but with no posts and only one review that I added that states do not use this FB page. 11-20-2020 I clicked the button again to report as inaccurate information.

Green Rod and Gun Club, local business:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Green-Rod-and-Gun-Club/190390501042085?fref=ts I have tried several times to enter a category as “Duplicate, please delete”. The Facebook folks might eventually respond and remove this one. This page incorrectly lists our location as Sidney NY. I recommend this page also not be used.
